RIA VOROS is a graduate of the University of British Columbia's Creative Writing MFA program, and has had her fiction and poetry published in literary journals such as Grain and The Summerset Review. High school and heartache

A beautifully layered story, infused with humour, poetry and drama, exploring events and relationships so familiar to teens and young adults. Teenage High School girl Gretchen Meyer lives with her conservative parents and younger sister. Betrayed by her friend, she becomes caught up in the lives of her high school tutor and his cousin, who influence her life dramatically as she is drawn into their adventures and fun. When tragedy strikes,
her values are challenged, but through her anguish she finds a new depth of understanding, even of her parents!
This is a great, un-put-downable read!
